New help for job-hunters: Gord Rennie, the chair of the Baffin Business Development Corp., helps mark the start-up of a new service in Iqaluit called the “Employment Readiness Centre,” as Education Minister Ed Picco looks on. Staff will help people look for jobs, learn how to write resumes, and brush up on their interviewing skills. Funded by the Department of Education, Human Resources Development Canada and the Baffin Business Development Corporation, the center is located on the second floor of the Igluvut building, near the back. It opened Jan. 10.
