Sport trials for Arctic Winter Games 2006
The deadline for registration and trials of non-ice sports is Friday, Sept. 30. This includes: soccer, Arctic sports, Dene games, wrestling, table tennis, badminton and basketball. Bingo to help kids
Tonight, 7 p.m., at the curling rink. The Kids on the Beach and the Pairivik daycare are hosting a bingo. Jackpot is $10,000, with another $5,000 in prizes.

Mass registration
Saturday, Sept. 10, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the curling rink. This is the annual sign-up day for all kinds of events and activities in Iqaluit. For information, or to set up a booth, call 979-5617.

Labour rally Monday
Monday, Sept. 5, 12 to 1 p.m., Nakasuk School. The Iqaluit Local of the Canadian Media Guild invites the public to a labour rally, with speakers from three unions as well as hotdogs and prizes.

Men's slo-pitch national qualifier
