Radio hosts wanted

Saturday, Oct. 8, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Francophone Centre, building 981. CFRT 107.3 FM, Iqaluit’s community radio station, is looking for volunteers (with or without experience) to host an Inuktitut radio program once a week. Drop by CFRT’s open house to find out more.

Beats for eats

Saturday, Oct. 8, 2 – 7 p.m., Inuksuk High School. The Nunavut Food Bank holds its annual fundraising concert, with bands, face paint and a yard sale. Admission: Food or funds.

Take Back the Night March

Thursday, Oct. 13, 6:30 p.m. This year’s march against violence against women starts behind the Frobisher Inn and follows a route that is known to be more dangerous to women, all the way to the Parish Hall for a coffee house with speakers, entertainment and refreshments.

Coffee house, October 15

The first Coffee House of the fall will be Oct. 15, hosted by the Iqaluit Music Society. If you are interested in performing, call Jennifer Wakegijig at 979-6353.
