Man charged after drug
bust in Iqaluit bar
An Iqaluit man is set to
appear in Nunavut Court of Justice April 8 after police seized a "quantity"
of cocaine this week.
Iqaluit RCMP arrested Robert
Bourgaize, 41, at the Tulugak Bar on Jan. 28. Officers allege Bourgaize was
in possession of cocaine. A search of his home uncovered another stash of the
white powder.
Bourgaize was charged with
drug possession for the purpose of trafficking. He was released from custody.
Police say the drugs have
an estimated street value of $3,500.
