Nunavut a finalist in Attractions Canada awards Two Nunavut events and one site have been recognized as finalists in the national 2002 Attractions Canada Awards. Katannilik Territorial Park on Baffin Island, Toonik Tyme and the Nunavut Midnight Sun Marathon and Road Races are three of 113 provincial/territorial finalists in 14 categories to be judged May 30 in Edmonton, Alberta. Attractions Canada is a national information program whose goal is to encourage Canadian’s interest in national sites or events that have cultural or educational value.
