GN funds new sewage lagoon in Hall Beach

The Government of Nunavut announced this week that a new sewage lagoon will be built in Hall Beach.

The lagoon will have a permafrost bottom and will help the residents of the community maintain a clean and healthy environment, Community Government and Transportation Minister Manitok Thompson said in a GN news release.

In addition, the project will create new employment opportunities. Work on the project, estimated to be worth $650,000, will be carried out by Mosher Engineering.
