Commemorative coins still available

Anyone who missed the chance to pick up a new 50¢ golden jubilee coin on Oct. 4 can still get one at the Iqaluit branch of the Royal Bank and Canada Post.

The new coins were distributed to people in the crowd in front of the legislative assembly during the Queen's visit last Friday.

The coin is legal tender and can be used in stores, but many people are saving it as a souvenir of Her Majesty's 50th anniversary as Queen and her cross-Canada tour.
