Photo: Kananginak Pootoogook ‘s “Aulajijakka: Things I Remember”

Just as was the case last weekend in Cambridge Bay, the amazing passage of whales has always drawn Inuit to the sea: this print by the late Cape Dorset artist Kananginak Pootoogook, “Aulajijakka: Things I Remember,” is one of 17 linocuts by Pootoogook, which were recently released by Cape Dorset Fine Arts and are now for sale at the Inuit Art Foundation’s Inuit Artists’ shop and at other galleries in Canada and abroad.
