Conversation ends badly in Salluit

On April 23 in Salluit, a family get-together and discussion in a furnace room in house 196 turned ugly, leaving one man with a serious stab wound in his stomach after he was attacked with a screwdriver by another man.

Steve Saviadjuk, 33, was arrested and charged with committing an aggravated assault of Tarqiasuk Saviadjuk.

Saviadjuk was also charged with assaulting Josepie Saviadjuk and resisting a KRPF constable.

Saviadjuk will remain in custody until his next court appearance later this spring.
