From cab to cells, man convicted of possession

William Grant, also known as Bill Shaw, was fined $700 after pleading guilty to drug possession.

Grant, 22, was arguing with an on-duty cab driver on May 25, 2002, when the driver, fed up with Grant’s behaviour, dropped him off at the RCMP detachment. When officers searched Grant’s pockets, they discovered about 20 grams of marijuana.
