Mining symposium starts today in Cambay

More than 225 delegates flooded into Cambridge Bay this week, for the ninth annual Nunavut Mining Symposium, which starts today and runs until Sunday, April 2.

The event includes a trade show as well as workshops on exploration, government and industry uranium initiatives, and government mining regulations.

Premier Paul Okalik will be on hand to present the Mining Awards, sponsored by Nunavut Tunngavik Inc.

The public is invited to attend any of the sessions, which will be held at Kullik School. Saturday will be a feast and games night.
