Paving no excuse for speeding

By NUNATSIAQ NEWS

The suggestion that more paved roads means cabbies will get around town faster than they already do is a scary thought.

I would respectfully ask that taxis (and speed demons) on the road to Apex and all around Iqaluit not speed up.

We have had a number of deaths due to speed and dangerous driving, not helped by the underuse of seatbelts.

This winter, we had our own very close call with a speeding and erratic taxi, but luckily only ended up with a seriously damaged car.

I’m all for asphalt, but please slow down.
